About Us

Corey’s practice includes representation of commercial and individual landowners, land developers, REITs, commercial landlords, lending institutions, builders, property managers, real estate brokers, small and medium-sized business owners, commercial tenants, and general contractors. His areas of practice include lease disputes, landlord-tenant disputes, land use disputes, judicial foreclosure and receivership matters, buy/sell disputes, and other complex litigation matters. Prior to returning to Southern California in 1998, Corey practiced in Northern California litigating employment and product liability matters.

Corey’s representative defense victories include the favorable settlement of claims against a landowner sued for remediation of underground fuel storage facilities; summary dismissal of fraud claims associated with the negotiation of a commercial sublease; and the favorable settlement of fraud and conversion claims brought by creditors of a bankrupt foreign manufacturing company against the purchaser of that defunct company’s assets.

Corey’s representative plaintiff victories include a unanimous jury verdict for nearly $4.8 million in an eminent domain proceeding where the condemning public agency claimed fair market value of just over $2 million; a fraud jury verdict in excess of $1 million in a professional malpractice action; a judgment quieting title to Southern California ocean view property; and numerous commercial unlawful detainer judgments for rent, damages, and possession.
